These days we hear a lot of chef’s talk about going local for produce – we don’t just talk about it at The Boat House, we actually do it.
I’m Paul Steward – let’s take a few moments to scan through a typical menu together.
We have a solid reputation for preparing and presenting the best of Scotland’s fish and seafood plates. We’ve also got a great following to our sizzling Angus steaks.
Everything is cooked fresh to order to ensure you have the most pleasurable dining experience here in the cosiest restaurant on Scotland’s east coast.
How about this :
pan fried scallops on a salad of sautéed potatoes, tomato and mixed leaves, drizzled with a white truffle-scented olive oil….
Or perhaps you’d care for some wild Scottish halibut with a garlic hollandaise or local lobster, crab or rock oysters…
It’s a delight to see the reactions when your guests are really enjoying their food. Our hits include hot smoked salmon and mackerel fishcakes on a creamed leek and chorizo sauce. And to accompany that?
We have an extensive wine list offering everything from a chunky oak and tropically fruity chardonnay to a silky, succulent citrus Chateau Septy.
Our wine list is extensive –
take a look here. And if you have that extra special wine that’s not here, just call us in advance and we’ll aim to source it for your lunch or dinner.
